Prof. Dr. Marit Rosol was elected to the board of the Bavarian American Academy in June 2024
06/19/2024The Bavarian American Academy (BAA) is an inter-university and interdisciplinary consortium and network of Bavarian researchers from various disciplines who engage in teaching and research related to the United States.
It supports research about or concerning the USA through its various programs and provides a platform for scientific and public discourse.
Founded in 1998, the BAA currently has about 200 members. Its mission is to promote transatlantic dialogue involving all academic status groups and to organize a variety of event formats. Although the focus of the Academy's activities is on the USA, it also supports research on Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean within the framework of interdisciplinary and interregional studies.
