Visiting scholar at the Chair of Economic Geography: Dr. Oscar Krüger
03/03/2025During April and May we welcome Dr. Krüger from Lund University in Sweden as visiting scholar.
Working within a three-year post-doctoral project funded through a Browaldh stipend (Tore Browaldhs stiftelse), Dr. Krüger conducts research on valuation processes in the context of Alternative Food Networks (AFNs) in Sweden. Based on his conceptual inquiries into the notion of “alternativeness” in such initiatives, his work engages key dimensions of Prof. Dr. Marit Rosol’s ongoing research on AFNs. By exploring alternatives economies of food, and addressing debates on post-growth and agrarian studies, the work of Dr. Krüger extends the discussion on AFNs by relating it to transformative pathways specific to a Nordic neoliberal welfare context.
